TIME OF REFLECT
Do you remember my 3 goals for 30 day challenge?
Well If you don't I will tell you.
Goal 1. Getting lots of green cards
Goal 2. Getting prize in POP/ SPEECH contests
Goal 3. Make lots of friends
Now I will reflect my self that I had progress in my goals.
First, Getting lots of green cards
This was one of risky part of my goals.
It was hard to get green cards.
Although I got 11 green cards now (well it is lots of green cards) ,
but other girl call named young seo Lee, got 14 green cards!
Well my goal was getting lots of green cards, not getting most of green cards in class.
I felt little bit upset, but I have time to get green cards,
so I'm going to clean dorm room nicely, participate in class a lot.
Second, Getting prize in POP/SPEECH contests
We had 1 pop contest call "Voice of GLPS" and 1 speech contest.
At first week we had Voice of GLPS, our class sang "dynamite".
And guess what?
Our class got 3rd place prize!!
We ate yummy chips that we got and we had great fun!
And I do speech contest, and my speech was about "Hulk".
I talked about "Hulk is most strongest hero in movies",
I don't know the result, but I guess i did okay!
Give me a luck!!!
Third, Make lots of friends
I made progress in this goal because I got over 20 friends!
I have room mates, class mate, and other good friends like PAs and TAs,
and also teacher too.
Like Ms. heike, Mr. Wayne, Mr. Michalak and Mr. Wythe.
After this camp I think i will call them and have some talks too!
It was great experience with my FRIENDS!
While I do the goal things, I felt happy and also proud at it!
Because of goals I lived really fun and happy life.
And because of blog writing class I got this opportunities to do goals!
I love blog!

You don't have to be upset a bit because you received less green cards than your friend :) You still have done a great job! I appreciate your devotion and passion with blog writing. You have been always the first student to successfully end all the assignments. Your effort also shows on both your diamante poems and reflection essay.:)
ReplyDeleteI will give an overall comment based on what I have read for the last two weeks. Your blog writings were okay, but you need to work a bit more for each blogs to make them shine out from others. Your creative story did not show your full potential in English proficiency. You could have done a much better job. However, I was very happy to see that you were selected as shoutout for class photo essay :)
What you can improve later on is trying out with complex sentence structures. Your sentences seem to be limited to simple sentences. There are many complex sentence structures, such as independent and dependent clause (I wanted to go hiking; however, I couldn't hike because it was raining), appositives (A person exceptionally talented in mathematics, John Nash became an eminent professor), modifiers, and so on. There are several ways to improve and practice complex sentence structures. One way is to read several books. I recommend you to read "Newberry Awards books", books which have received critical acclaims from authors and readers. Such books include "the giver", "a girl named disaster", and "Charlotte's Web"
